Toxic Pesticides: flower t-shirt
YAYA, the Youth and Young Adult Network of the National Farm Worker Ministry is an organization that supports farm workers who are organizing for equality and justice. I created 3 t-shirts for one of their campaigns that was seeking to promote awareness of pesticides in food.
85% of our fruits and vegetables are hand picked and unfortunately farm workers are exposed to these toxic pesticides which cause them rashes, illness and birth defects.

More than 90% of the pesticides used in agriculture are absorbed into the air, water, and soil. Pesticides currently pollute most of the areas where the tap Water is extracted from an underground source.
